About Us

Society of Indian Radiographers

Who We Are

The Society of Indian Radiographers (SIR) is a leading professional organization committed to supporting and advancing the field of Radiological Technology in India.

The platform was established to provide a comprehensive source of information for Radiographers — especially Indian Radiographers — and to create a space for interaction, knowledge sharing, and professional collaboration.

The website was officially launched during the 8th National Conference of the Society of Indian Radiographers on 29th September 2001 at Chokshi Auditorium, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. The event was organized by the Radiographers’ Association of Maharashtra (RAM) and Tata Memorial Hospital.

Over the years, SIR has continued to grow with active participation from Radiographers across India and abroad, fostering a strong and unified professional community.
